The RJHS Library is having a Book Art Contest!!! All RJHS students and faculty are welcome to participate. Create something new from something old! Use your imagination (or Pinterest) and create something fun! Your work MUST feature a book or parts from a book. Use your own book or come ask Mrs. Baldwin about old ones in the bookstore. You can combine other media (paint, pencils, ink, etc.) with your book. You are encouraged to use reused or recycled materials or things you have on hand. In an effort to make strategic, data-driven decisions, Russellville School District has partnered with Hanover Research. Hanover is a highly reputable research organization that will provide our district with a team of researchers, survey experts, statisticians, and data analysts committed to helping our district become the very best we can be for the students in our care. The purpose of this survey is to learn more about school and district climate. Students in Grades 4 and up, all parents, staff, and community members are encouraged to participate! We respectfully ask that you participate in this anonymous survey. The results of the survey will be used to guide our improvement planning process, and we need YOU to be a part of our improvement endeavors. The more participation we get, the more accurate our data will be. Will you please take about 10 minutes to complete this important survey? The RHS Lady Cyclone basketball team has advanced to the finals of the conference tournament. They will play at Greenwood at 1 p.m. this Saturday. The Lady Cyclones will advance to State 6A basketball tournament in West Memphis next week. They have received a first round bye and will advance to the quarterfinals and will play on Thursday or Friday next week.

Russellville School District will be dismissing 90 minutes early on Monday, February 19, 2018, for Parent/Teacher Conferences at Russellville High School and Russellville Junior High School. Last week, RHS and RJHS held Student Success/College and Career Readiness Conferences instead of Parent/Teacher Conferences. This early dismissal will allow teachers to prepare for these conferences.

RHS and RJHS will hold Student Success/College and Career Readiness Conferences on Monday, Feb 12 from 1-7 p.m. There will be no school on Monday, Feb 12 and Tuesday, Feb 13 due to teacher professional development and P/T Conferences. Classes will resume on Wednesday, February 14.

If you have not already signed up for a time to meet with your child’s SSP teacher, please do so by this Friday, February 2nd.The website and code to sign up with is on the letter. Join the RSD Athletic Department for RussVegas Karaoke on Saturday, January 27th at the Center for the Arts. The night will kick off with a silent auction at 6 p.m. and karaoke performances beginning at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and free for students.
