The RJHS Library is having a Book Art Contest!!! All RJHS students and faculty are welcome to participate.
Create something new from something old! Use your imagination (or Pinterest) and create something fun! Your work MUST feature a book or parts from a book. Use your own book or come ask Mrs. Baldwin about old ones in the bookstore.
You can combine other media (paint, pencils, ink, etc.) with your book.
You are encouraged to use reused or recycled materials or things you have on hand.
Entries can be turned in starting
April 9, 2018, and are due
on April 27, 2018.

In an effort to make strategic, data-driven decisions, Russellville School District has partnered with Hanover Research. Hanover is a highly reputable research organization that will provide our district with a team of researchers, survey experts, statisticians, and data analysts committed to helping our district become the very best we can be for the students in our care.
The purpose of this survey is to learn more about school and district climate. Students in Grades 4 and up, all parents, staff, and community members are encouraged to participate!
We respectfully ask that you participate in this anonymous survey. The results of the survey will be used to guide our improvement planning process, and we need YOU to be a part of our improvement endeavors. The more participation we get, the more accurate our data will be.

Russellville School District will be closed on Monday, March 19-Friday, March 23 for the Spring Break holiday. Classes will resume on Monday, March 26. The district wishes everyone a safe and happy Spring Break.

Congratulations to the RJHS Choirs for earning superior (I) ratings in performance and sight-reading yesterday at CPA! RJHS is proud of you!!!
The RHS Lady Cyclone basketball team has advanced to the finals of the conference tournament. They will play at Greenwood at 1 p.m. this Saturday. The Lady Cyclones will advance to State 6A basketball tournament in West Memphis next week. They have received a first round bye and will advance to the quarterfinals and will play on Thursday or Friday next week.
Russellville School District will be dismissing 90 minutes early on Monday, February 19, 2018, for Parent/Teacher Conferences at Russellville High School and Russellville Junior High School. Last week, RHS and RJHS held Student Success/College and Career Readiness Conferences instead of Parent/Teacher Conferences. This early dismissal will allow teachers to prepare for these conferences.
Parent's this is a reminder that Russellville School District will dismiss school at 1:40 on Monday, February 19, 2018. School will dismiss early for Secondary Parent Teacher Conferences beginning at 4:00.
A meeting for parents of track athletes in grades 7-12, is scheduled for Tuesday, February 20th, at 6pm in the RHS Cafeteria. Coach Ben Goodman will be on hand to give information on the upcoming season.
RHS and RJHS will hold Student Success/College and Career Readiness Conferences on Monday, Feb 12 from 1-7 p.m.
There will be no school on Monday, Feb 12 and Tuesday, Feb 13 due to teacher professional development and P/T Conferences. Classes will resume on Wednesday, February 14.
RJHS will have its annual "Kiss the Pig" pep rally sponsored by NJHS on Thursday, February 8th, 2018 @ 2:00pm. Parents are welcome to attend!
Parents, Student Success Conference sign up letters went home last week. If you have not already signed up for a time to meet with your child’s SSP teacher, please do so by this Friday, February 2nd.The website and code to sign up with is on the letter. If you did not receive a letter, or if you have further questions, please do not hesitate to call the RJHS office at 479-968-1599.
Russellville School District invites parents and the community to a Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Showcase on Wednesday, January 31, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Center for the Arts. Russellville Schools will close tomorrow, Friday, January, 19th. This is a result of the high absentee rate due to flu illnesses. School will resume on Monday, January 22nd.
Join the RSD Athletic Department for RussVegas Karaoke on Saturday, January 27th at the Center for the Arts. The night will kick off with a silent auction at 6 p.m. and karaoke performances beginning at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and free for students.
January is School Board Member Recognition Month, and RSD would like to thank the seven school board members who advocate and shape the direction of our school district. Members of the RSD School Board include Morgan Barrett, Chris Cloud, Breanne Davis, Allan George, Jami Mullen, Jeff Phillips, and Wesley White.
